The EU-funded ROBOCAST project, led by Politecnico di Milano, developed a robot for keyhole brain surgery. The robot has 13 types of movement, haptic feedback, and can reduce surgeon tremor by up to 10 times. It was tested on dummies, and the team believes it could help treat epilepsy, Tourette's syndrome, and Parkinson's disease.
