The EU-funded Asterix project developed an autonomous robot AX-1 that selectively applies bioherbicide, reducing herbicide use by up to 95%. First units are scheduled for delivery in April 2021.

EUの資金で開発された自律走行ロボットAX-1は、作物と雑草を見分けて雑草の葉だけに生物系除草剤を散布します。公表資料では、全面散布に比べて除草剤の使用量を最大95％減らせるとしており、農薬の散布量を抑えたい農家向けの用途が具体的です。
