On August 11, 2021, Unity announced support for ROS 2, building on its earlier ROS support, and released a demo showcasing an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) using ROS 2 in Unity. The demo includes a warehouse environment, a Turtlebot 3 model with simulated LIDAR and motor controllers, and a Dockerfile for ROS 2 dependencies.
