Beckhoff unveils production-ready modular robot system ATRO

Beckhoff unveiled its modular industrial robot system ATRO on June 24, 2025. ATRO features internal media supply and unlimited rotation on all axes, and is integrated with the TwinCAT control platform. Standardized motor and link modules enable a variety of configurations. The company will also offer software modules supporting the new versions of safety standards ISO 10218-1/2.

ATRO is designed to make it easier for machine builders integrating industrial robots into their machines to configure modules for assembly and material handling. Beckhoff says the same modules can be used in multiple configurations, helping reduce component inventories and spare parts. The company also plans to offer software with safety templates supporting the new ISO 10218-1/2 standards.
